What ages does the school cater for?
We welcome pupils from Reception through to Year 6, with a nursery attached for children from age three.
How do I arrange a visit?
Open mornings run every term and private tours are available on request.

Dr Eleanor Whitfield
Dr Whitfield joined the school in 2015 after fifteen years in senior leadership across the state and independent sectors. She believes every pupil deserves to be known, challenged and celebrated, and leads the school with a focus on academic ambition and pastoral care in equal measure. Away from school she is a keen fell walker and an enthusiastic, if self-confessedly average, cellist.
James Okafor
Mr Okafor oversees the curriculum, timetabling and assessment across the whole school. A historian by training, he still teaches GCSE History every year because, in his words, the classroom is the best part of the job. He coordinates the scholars programme and the annual academic enrichment week.
Priya Sharma
Mrs Sharma leads the Sixth Form and its programme of supra-curricular study, university preparation and careers guidance. She teaches Biology and has run the school’s Medical Society for eight years, with leavers now studying medicine, dentistry and veterinary science at universities across the UK and abroad.
Tom Bennett
Mr Bennett runs the school’s sports programme across twenty-two acres of playing fields, coordinating fixtures, tours and coaching for all age groups. A former county-level cricketer, he is passionate about sport for all – every pupil represents the school at least once a season.

Mathematics
Mathematics is taught in sets from Year 7, letting every pupil move at the pace that stretches them. Lessons balance fluency, reasoning and problem-solving, and the department runs weekly clinics for anyone who wants extra help or extra challenge.
Pupils compete in the UKMT challenges each year, with a growing number progressing to the follow-on rounds.

From Chaucer to contemporary fiction, English Literature develops close reading, critical argument and a lifelong love of books. Class libraries, author visits and a pupil-run journal keep reading visible across the school.

A Day in Each School
Reception to Year 2
Mornings begin with phonics and number work, with the afternoons given over to topic work, music and outdoor play.

Pupils move between specialist teachers for science, languages and PE, and take on their first positions of responsibility – librarians, eco monitors and house captains.
